What Is a Category N Car?
A Category N marker is used by insurance companies when a car has been damaged but can still be repaired and safely returned to the road.
The damage is usually non-structural, which means it may affect parts such as:
- Body panels
- Bumpers
- Lights
- Electrical systems
- Suspension
- Interior components
In some cases, the damage might even be relatively minor, but the insurer decides it would cost too much to repair compared to the car’s value.
Why Does a Car Become Category N?
